Privacy notice

This explains what we collect when you register your interest in the Lagos campus, why we collect it, who else can see it, and how to have it deleted. It covers this website only.

Last updated 2 August 2026

Who is responsible for your information

Deseret School of Design (“DSD”, “we”) is the data controller. Our head office is No. 22 Dromo Crescent, North Legon, Accra, Ghana. The Lagos campus opens in January 2027; its address will be announced to registrants first.

For anything in this notice, write to enquiries@dsd.edu.gh or message us on WhatsApp at +233246653600.

What we collect

When you fill in the registration form, you give us:

Alongside that, the form records:

We also count page views and form starts so we know how many people reach the page and how many begin filling it in. Those counts carry no name, no address, no identifier of any kind — they cannot be traced to you, and they are not linked to your registration.

What we do not do

Why we collect it

Our lawful basis is your consent, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. You gave it by ticking the box on the form, and you can withdraw it at any time — see below.

Who else can see it

We use two companies to run this service. Neither may use your information for their own purposes.

This means your information is stored outside Nigeria, in France, and our emails pass through the United States. We tell you this because the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires it. If you would rather not have your details held this way, please do not submit the form — message us on WhatsApp instead and we will speak to you without recording anything.

Nothing on this page is loaded from anywhere else

The page, its images, its typeface and even the preview pictures for our student videos are all served from our own server. Reading this site tells no other company anything about you — not Google, not a font service, not an advertising network.

The one exception is if you press play on a video. The video itself comes from YouTube, so at that moment YouTube — which is owned by Google — learns the IP address you are browsing from and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. Until you press play, YouTube knows nothing about your visit.

How long we keep it

Until 24 months after we last had contact with you, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. After that we delete it permanently. If you enrol, your details move into our student records, which are covered by a separate notice you will be given at the time.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:

You can withdraw your consent whenever you like, and it costs you nothing. Write to enquiries@dsd.edu.gh and we will act within 30 days — usually the same week. Every announcement email we send also carries an unsubscribe link that stops all further email in one click.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to registrations is limited to named DSD staff accounts, each with its own password; there is no public sign-up to our dashboard. As noted above, we store a scrambled form of your IP address rather than the address itself.

Children

This form is meant for adults deciding on their own training. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian register on your behalf.

Changes to this notice

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This notice was last updated on 2 August 2026.
